UAW Region 9 Stands in Solidarity with AC Casino Workers
In a letter of support for UNITE HERE Local 54 casino workers in Atlantic City, UAW Region 9 asks members to refrain from doing work traditionally done by Local 54 members in the event of a work-stoppage.

Dear Brothers & Sisters:
Unite HERE Local 54 is currently in negotiations with the casinos in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
There is always a possibility that they may authorize a work stoppage of their members at some or all of the locations that the UAW represents members.
In accordance with our “No Strike, No Lockout” articles in all of our five (5) collective bargaining agreements, each of you will still be required to report to work as usual.
In the event of a work stoppage by Local 54, I am asking every UAW member who possesses a gaming license to refrain from doing any work that traditionally is performed by Local 54 members!
UAW Region 9 stands in full solidarity with Unite HERE Local 54, as they work towards achieving new contracts in Atlantic City on behalf of their members and their families.
